Members encouraged someone in the UK who was nervous about applying for PIP (Personal Independence Payment), with several sharing they had successfully claimed it and reassuring them that the worst outcome is simply being told no. Many members described the application process, explaining that you call to request either a postal or online form, gather basic details like GP and National Insurance information, and should expect a months-long processing time, with one member noting that their physiotherapist encouraged them to apply and their GP was supportive. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of the process, with one member sharing that filling out the forms triggered severe anxiety and a flare, but also expressing relief and encouragement once it was done.
