Covid Booster Vs 3rd Dose

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Murray Bridge, AU

Wondering if anyone has had a covid booster or the 3rd dose of the vaccine? Apparently you can get either, the third full dose is recommended for immune compromised people and I'm not sure which one i should be getting?

Members shared their experiences with COVID boosters and third doses, with the overwhelming majority reporting only mild side effects like sore arms and temporary fatigue, regardless of which vaccine brand they received (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, or Johnson & Johnson). Several immune-compromised members clarified they received full third doses rather than half-dose boosters, explaining that full doses are specifically recommended for people with weakened immune systems, though the distinction between booster and third dose left some members uncertain about which option to choose. A recurring theme was members' willingness to continue getting additional shots as recommended, with many already planning or having received fourth doses, emphasizing their commitment to staying protected despite their health conditions.

I got the two Moderna vaccines and the Moderna booster. I had just a sore arm and a little more extra tired than my normal extra tired. Not a problem.

I had the first two Covid vaccines and then the booster. No side effects from the vaccines, and only a sore arm from the booster. I am immune compromised.

I had the booster. Just sore at the injection site, but that's it.

I got a full dose for the booster. If I need to get a fourth, I will.
