Painful Legs 24/7
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else have constant pain in both legs? I thought it could be restless legs at first but it’s 24/7 and I always thought restless legs was just at night? Bloodwork has came back fine. Its hard to explain. Just like a aching pain from thigh to ankle with a slight tingling feel to it. No numbness though. No one seems concerned but it’s just new to me and very bothersome.

Yes. Gabapentin and pain reliever helps some. I roll Biofreeze down sides of my legs in morning and before bed, takes the edge off. Sometimes Epsom salt rub helps. Look for trigger points contraction knots on the outside of your thighs and massage them.

Topricin Pain Relief Cream helps. I haven't tried the one that Dr. Amy Myers uses but here is the link so you read about - https://www.citrisafe.com/product/citrinu-acety... .The company also has a new product now called Citri-Nu Pain Relief + Glutathione Balm and it really helped the first few times I used it but I think I may have put too much on and so I haven't used it in a few days.

Unfortunately 100 percent.
I use cool, wet compress for the night, it really helps. Also, massage and elevation. My doctor can’t find anything either after neurological and complete blood work. Pain killers also work and take the edge of the pain away but I try to take only few pills if I can handle it.

I just purchased a weighted blanket which has helped my legs considerably.

That's my biggest symptom as well (and how my fibromyalgia started, just a horrible, constant deep ache in my calves). I also thought it was restless leg syndrome at first until it stayed all day and got so bad I couldn't work anymore. I highly recommend trying topical magnesium (I use the theraworx foam, which you can get at walgreens, rite aid or on amazon) and it has by far been the most effective thing to help with my leg pain. It doesn't make it go away entirely but it improves it substantially and keeps it from progressing. I use it basically every day twice a day and it reduces muscles tension, which helps to break the cycle of the tension causing more pain, which causes more tension etc. Another benefit it that is will almost instantly get rid of leg cramps. Heat also helps tremendously when the pain gets unbearable.
