My Dr and Physio Therapist have suggested I try Gabapentin for muscle and nerve pain? The flares seem to be more frequent and lasting longer. Since I am very sensitive to medications my Dr started me at 1x100 mgs daily to see how I would get along. I have tried Baclofen. Not much relief. It could be I am not giving it enough time

I take Gabapentin 300 MG at bedtime. Took me a while to wake up in the morning and not feel groggy like. Dr. wants me to take it 3 times daily, but just can't stay awake during the day. I ran out a while back and then realized how much even 300 MG helps my pain. It makes a huge difference in how I feel 24/7.
I fell down several times while taking Gabapentin, my dosage was 3xday (can't remember the mgs) but it did absolutely help with neuropathy. I eventually just stopped taking it and was a lot more clear headed, and didn't fall down anymore.
I too am very sensitive to do many medications. Gabapentin made me shake like crazy while asleep. ๐ฅ It also caused me to have large muscle jerking and I would kick or hit my husband while asleep. He was very happy when the Gabapentin was discontinued and I haven't had that problem since my body cleared out the Gabapentin. ๐
I sure am in a lot of pain all over now, I think from the cooler weather. I'm staying in bed far too much. Gotta pull myself out of this funk I'm in. ๐ฅ
