Members shared their experiences with COVID vaccine reactions while living with fibromyalgia, with most reporting temporary flare-ups that included intensified body aches, fatigue, chills, headaches, and flu-like symptoms lasting anywhere from 36 to 72 hours after vaccination. Several members described practical coping strategies such as scheduling the vaccine on a day off work, completing household tasks beforehand, and planning for recovery time, with many noting that symptoms from the second dose were often milder than the first. A recurring theme was weighing the temporary discomfort of vaccine side effects against the risk of COVID itself, with members offering mutual support and understanding about the difficult decision each person faces when managing chronic pain and fatigue.

I felt like I was sick for 72 hours. Body aches, sleepy, nothing looked good to eat. Usual cold crap then add Fibro flare to it.
