Anyone have Covid and how did it affect them with their Fibromyalgia?
I luckily haven't gotten COVID (I got the vaccine in February), but it's hypothesized that people with fibromyalgia actually could have less severe COVID symptoms than other people (due to the differences in our cytokine responses, meaning we are less likely to have an immune overreaction like a cytokine storm)
I had it in Aug and it really affected my muscles. I laid on my stomach sprawled out I couldn't sleep on my back at all.
@A MyFibroTeam Member I found it when researching the fibromyalgia blood test and the scientific basis of how it works :)
@A MyFibroTeam Member sorry I just noticed your question, here is the link to information on the blood test https://www.yourfmtest.com/?utm_source=google&a... (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)&utm_content (Phone number can only be seen by the question and answer creators)&utm_term=fibromyalgia%20blood%20tests&utm_device=c&gclid=Cj0KCQjw6NmHBhD2ARIsAI3hrM2IGybIeTcP0OKnEObQ905-i5IoPLXX6CfYbH--ZhBdNn1Nkq6QWg8aAkzeEALw_wcB. You fill out their questionare and have a doctor prescribe the test (or they will connect you with a doctor that will). It's a relatively recent test and not all doctors will order it (many aren't even aware of it). I haven't done it yet (I know for sure I have fibromyalgia and have already been diagnosed and haven't gotten around to seeing my doctor about getting the test, but my twin brother with fibro symptoms did it and he tested positive, which I expected due to the strong genetic component of the condition). They are currently running a clinical trial for a fibromyalgia treatment/cure too which would be amazing if they got positive results.
Hi Monika, I was not the person who posted about the bloodtest! Re read the post and you'll find the person who did, thx.
