I'm at the beginning of this journey and am trying to make adjustments, e.g. I try to stop an activity before I feel tired, stop myself going to another aisle in the store just to browse through, etc.

Members shared practical strategies for conserving energy with fibromyalgia, emphasizing the importance of pacing activities with intentional rest breaks, whether doing laundry, ironing, or exercising. Several members recommended tracking daily activities and symptoms in a log to identify personal limits, seeking guidance from occupational therapists or physiotherapists, and considering gentler movement options like Qi Gong when traditional exercise becomes too exhausting. A recurring theme was the difficult journey of learning patience and accepting new limitations, with members offering emotional support to those facing unsupportive partners and celebrating small victories in finding a sustainable balance between activity and rest.

I really take notice to what I do and what the effect is the next day and then adjust. For example I felt really good one day and went on the tredmill for 45 minutes. I felt awful the next day so I limit myself to 30 minutes.
I keep a log of my activity and how I feel so I can see what makes me feel bad.

It can be very challenging to find your balance, I suggest you see an OT or a Physio to help you find your limits so you don't do more harm than good. I eventually managed to get to a ration of 1 hour of activity to 3 hours of rest, but this took over 2 years to achieve.

I do small activities and take a rest in between.
If I do laundry, I sit and rest , I do online shopping for groceries rather than go to the shop, it exhausts me.
Yesterday I did some ironing...... result..... in bed by 4pm😱
It’s all about learning our limits.....🥲
