Members shared a range of strategies for managing fibromyalgia-related insomnia, with many reporting that they rarely sleep more than two to four hours at a stretch despite trying multiple approaches. Several members found relief through medications like Ambien, Trazodone, tramadol, and muscle relaxers, while others recommended natural remedies such as valerian or passion flower tea, cannabis for anxiety, heated blankets, and binaural beats or sound wave therapy apps. A recurring theme was the acknowledgment that fibromyalgia affects everyone differently, so finding what works often requires patience, experimentation, and support from understanding communities rather than one-size-fits-all solutions.

Oh! Binaural beats! That's the sound wave thing I was talking about. Can help with migraines and sleep.

Oh! @A MyFibroTeam Member! I've done some stuff with sound waves too! I can't remember what it's called, but there's an iphone app called Pain Killer 2.0. You need headphones and I'm not sure if there's an android app for it, but I did have some migraine relief with it.

I wanted to add something we are all different so what may work for one may not work for another. That said I have had Some relief using sound wave therapy. I get CDs by Kelly Howell and Steven Halpern. I get some free from library or Amazon sells. Some can be downloaded from phone but I don't know how to do that yet 😴. I'm so thankful for this group Especially since I have little family and what I do have are dysfunctional and NEVER are supportive! Wishing all blessings of sweet sleep πŸ˜΄πŸ™ L

I get about 2-4 hours at a time then I am awake for 2-3 hours. I am, luckily?, not working so I can sleep in. Nothing seems to work for very long.

Try Valerian or Passion Flower. You kind find them in tea form. I think their might be pills as well, but the tea works really well.
