Severe Migraine
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else here get sever migraines lasting over a week? I’ve been dealing with migraines for 15 years but over the last two I get some that last a couple of weeks. No medicine has ever helped them. I have had ct scans mris and specific eye tests that are all normal. The pain gets unbearable and I have yet to talk to someone that can relate.

You are not alone! I have cluster headaches or migranes 6 out of 7 days a week. Having the multiple “layers” of fibo really do suck! Its not just joint pain but i sometimes feel like a Hypochondriac because “sometype of medical issue or discomfort and/or multiple parts of my body are suffering and not functioning normally.

I use Coenzyme Q10, 200-250mg once daily for migraine prevention. I used to get a migraine every 3-5 days, now once a month and it only lasts for one day. I found this useful.

I’ve had lots of weird headaches since my fibro diagnosis. I had a clockwork headache that lasted exactly two weeks and would come on at the same times each day. It seriously felt like someone was bashing my head with a hammer, I was one of the worst pains I’ve ever had. All scans clear!

Then 2 years later I had what felt like a headache behind my left eye, the pain felt like it went from my eye into my brain. I was convinced I had to be dying, because the pain was there for just over 4 months. Sometimes it was just a dull ache but the pain would peak at certain times of the day. It also hurt to put makeup on that particular eye. I had more scans and eye tests, which were clear.

Unfortunately fibro is seriously the most confusing disease ever!

I know this doesn’t help you treat what is happening but I hope it gives you peace of mind you’re not alone.

Hi, yes I understand what you’re going through, I suffer with chronic migraines, had every scan and treatment out there, but still suffering, I take beta blockers which stops me getting so many, it was the only thing that helps me, it stops me getting so many.
Maybe you could ask your doctor about them.
Good luck xxx

I have headaches/migraines Everyday!? The pain demands your attention and it gets worse , over the years. I've taken all of the above with minimal positive results. I'm taking a low dose of Norco Everyday and that will dull the stabbing and burning brain. Good luck ☘💜
