Your dr is talking about not taking pain killers - aspirin , Tylenol , etc before , not Benadryl .
They gave me Benadryl In the office the first shot and called to remind me to take it before coming in for the second . That’s the advantage of being injected in your doctor’s office instead of other places .

Had my first vaccine and next on 10/4, not had problems apart from a really achy arm, didn’t last long, can’t wait for my 2nd

I got both my doses and i got sick on the first one but the best thing you can do is go in without a lot of stress make sure you drink plenty of water, and make sure if you take tylenol or ibuprofen after you get the shot. The second one i followed this advise and i did great
