Yes, instead of Advil. I need the anti inflammatory properties and my PCP said it would be less harmful to the kidneys. Nice to just have to take it once a day also.

This is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. This is not a pain killer. Make your doctor explain to you what he gives you and take notes. It relieves the swelling and pain caused by the inflammation.

I think i took meloxicam for a while but im on diclofenac now. It was prescribed for the tmj but it helps the knees and shoulders also.

I used to take it, but my Rheumatologist took me off of it to try something better, but due to liver issues from that medicine I don't take an antiinflamitory any longer.
