Jaw Pain Help
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Apparently now I have jaw pain on both sides of my jaw. As of about a month ago. This is new to me and I'm annoyed to have a new area of pain on my body to add to my neck and back.

Anyone found anything to help. It hurts at night no matter what my position.

Sounds like TMJ and it is very painful ; I am going to a great therapist that does myofasial therapy and she has helped my jaw pain.

I h have TMJ and burnt tongue syndrome. You are grinding your teeth which causes your jaw to hurt. I used a mouth guard when I slept at night. I had to stop due to all of the sores and sensitivity and pain, the guard made it worse. Good luck finding something to help.

So sorry you have this. Many dental profesionals recomend jaw surgery.
And no guaranties. My bite is horrible. My teeth shifted after a dentist removed a craked tooh that she cracked. A bridge would have helped some as would a retainer. None of this was mentioned.

I go to
A pt jaw so ecialist . They have to have a special license
. Tmj was ruled out . I did have a mouth guard made . Fibro patients have what is called TMD, not tmj .
