Fibromyalgia, Endometriosis Or Something More Worrying 😣

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi ladies. I have had Fibromyalgia for 3 years now and since a bit before that I have had messed up periods. Sometimes only going a couple of weeks before them and then they go back to normal for a bit. But since December they have got so much worse. Sometimes so heavy I nearly faint. They last for around 4 weeks and then I don't have one for 4 to 10 weeks. I have pains but have always put it down to fibromyalgia but I'm wondering if it could be connected. I have been waiting since April to go… read more

I had bad fibroids. And closer to menopause my periods went very long time. Fainting is probably due to losing so much ch blood and iron is low. I’m sure the doctors will check everything for you. Good luck

I also had the same issue. When it first started occurring I was too young for a hysterectomy so I kept pursuing the issue until I finally had an Endometrial Ablation. I had no periods or issues for the next 7 or 8 years, but, then I started with spotting again. I had an ultrasound that suggested possible Endometriosis. I eventually fought with the Gynecologist for a full hysterectomy (he wanted to leave the ovaries but with ovarian cancer known for being a silent killer, I wanted it all removed.) I had it and haven't looked back. It's been over 10 years now and I still have not had to take any supplements that they push on you. (the suppllements they tried to give to me have been known to cause breast cancer) In the end it was confirmed that I had endometriosis. You know your body better than anyone. If you feel something is wrong, pursue it and keep pushing till you get your solution.
