Members widely agreed that high fructose corn syrup and excessive sugar trigger fibromyalgia symptoms, with many reporting increased body pain, bloating, brain fog, IBS flares, and digestive issues after consuming processed foods, sodas, and high-carb meals. Several members shared that switching to a keto or low-carb diet dramatically improved their energy levels, reduced fibro fog, and lessened pain, with one member describing how returning to regular food during a stressful time made the difference feel like night and day. A recurring theme was the importance of eliminating sugar and processed ingredients, with practical advice including trying an elimination diet, seeking a hydrogen breath test for fructose malabsorption, and discovering that favorite recipes can be recreated using keto-friendly ingredients found online.
