Oh, yeah. What is irksome to me is the bruise won't show up for a few days. But when it does it lasts for weeks before it fades. My husband say one time if people would just look at me they would think he beats up on me. Than of course with the fibro fog I see the bruise days later and don't already remember how it happened.
I have bruised easily since I was a child. Now I often have bruises that I have no idea what caused them. Like some others have mentioned, I also find that bruises now take an extremely long time to fade. I have areas on both my feet that have appeared bruised for almost 20 years....i call them my perrma-bruises. They were initially caused by injury (nothing major but at least I know what happened š) but the discolouration has never left. There is no pain associated with them but the regular bruising that eventually fades is extremely sensitive to touch until it has faded. That is often how I know a bruise is on its way too...an unusually sensitive spot and then a couple days later it bruises. I never associated this with fibro (itās become ānormalā for me so I havenāt really thought about it since my diagnosis) but itās been an on-going issue that my doctor has never found any cause for so fibro is very possibly the cause.
I do! My skin became really thin and bruises easily. If I try to pop a pimple I end up with a mess on my face
I run into everything, so I have to admit it's mostly me. I also know that even if I barely touch something I bruise. I have very sensitive skin.
