Members bonded over the question of what songs help them through good and bad days, sharing a wide and joyful mix of music spanning decades, from 1950s toe-tappers to REM, Queen, the Beatles, and Christian music. Several members described using music as a coping tool, with some singing along to folk, country, or inspirational songs to lift their spirits or distract from pain. A recurring theme was the warmth of shared musical memories, nostalgia for old albums, and the joy of discovering new songs through one another.

Recently I've been telling "Hey Google" to play Daniel O'Donnell. I love hearing his voice. It's calming. I also like listening to Alex Beaton on "Hey Google" too. His Scottish songs are great to sing along to.

I listen to Christian music on one station and it seems to keep my mind focused on all the good in my life. So I usally sing along and it keeps my spirits up and in a fairly good mood.

I listen to Daniel O'Donnell and to Jim Reeves and to Allan Jackson - a lot. I have them playing on "Hey Google" as background music. All the songs they sing, I can sing along to which takes my mind off pain.
