I looked this up because I never heard of it. It states the following: What does atypical trigeminal neuralgia feel like?
The symptoms of atypical trigeminal neuralgia include: A constant, chronic dull ache or boring pain on one side of your face and jaw. Abnormal sensations of numbness or tingling around your eye, cheek or jaw. Constant dull, aching sensations in your jaw or teeth. I have had some of this residual numbness and tingling in my face after my strokes. Other than that I have not had these symtoms.

Yes, that is same type of definition that I read too.
That is why I am not sure whether that is the type I have or not, because I do feel that way, but I also sometimes have sharp pain as well. My trigeminal neuralgia Is mostly controlled right now. Thankfully 🙏 💞

Thx for that answer. I’ve been telling my doctor about those symptoms that I have and she looks at me like I’m crazy. Even the neurologist looked at me crazy. Reason I don’t like doctors. But that is the answer thx!!!

I have the same symptoms. My left side of my face hurts and I can't chew due to the pain in my teeth. I have this electric shock sensation in my teeth as well. It's been like this for two months now and I don't know which doctor to see, the neurologist or the dentist. 😢
