Has anyone heard or tried Pain Neuroscience Education (PNE) therapy? I am working with a new and very knowledgeable doctor. A specialist in fibromyalgia. He is a compassionate caring doctor thst just doesn’t toss pills at you. I went in his office depleted and worn out from lack of sleep. Pain had me by the throat. I left with hope.

I had a telemedicine visit with a pain management specialist 👩⚕ who was knowledgeable about fibromyalgia from a very reputable hospital 🏨 this week.
I am digesting a lot of what he told me, but, he suggested PNE to me! This was the first I had heard of it from a doctor, and it was days after this question was asked on this forum. I felt like my guardian angel 👼 was making sure I was paying attention.
I am going to watch 👀 some YouTube videos to get started. Then I might buy a book 📚 to read.
I can post again after I watch the YouTube videos of anyone is interested.
Education of any kind can be helpful. Hope you find some relief with this doctor helping you. Let us know how it goes.
Positivemom, it is so good to hear your input. I too have watched the youtube videos. I have also read the book. I find the information so interesting. Where I am right now is that i don’t know how to apply it to our situtation on a practical level. I hope the therapist I will be working with will guide me through this journey. Keep in contact.
The pain specialist told me to google "Moseley Pain Neuroscience".
Here is a paragraph copied from an NIH study.
💥 pain experience (Moseley 2007; Moseley & Butler 2015). Pain neuroscience education utilises various metaphors and analogies to explain the neurophysiological processes of pain occurring within the patient, along with the various other multidimensional aspects that may contribute to the patient’s pain experience.
The Kindle e-book is $35 and the spiral bound book is $77 on amazon. Title is "Explain Pain" authors D Butler and L Moseley.
I am going to spend some time watching the YouTube videos and reading the free studies of his work first. 😀
I haven’t explored on the PNE as I just got recently diagnosed with fibromyalgia. However, I’ve been taking Ketamine Lidocaine injection for 2 years now at the pain clinic. But, due to the locked down, I’m having trouble sleeping with my pain discomfort so I did a research more on fibromyalgia cure rather than just temporary prevention or relief.
So I’ve come across an article from prohealth regarding NMN supplement which is scientifically proven and a product of FDA.

I’ve ordered this product and thank God it arrived this week as I almost lost hope on how to deal with my pain, anxiety and sleep issues. It’s been a stressful time but now I feel a lot better taking one tab a day. So far it’s been very effective.
In addition, I’ve been waiting for a physiatrist referral who specialized with fibromyalgia but no updates yet.
