How Do You Deal With Pain That Wakes You In Middle Of The Night?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been trying since 2016 to not take daily meds for my fibro, but to just treat my flares rather than 365 days of meds. Have really tried to be more natural. But my natural ways just aren't working for flares or really achy and stiff days. they just are not enough! NSAIDS over the many years have me concerned and I just don't take them regularly any longer, but I feel I have no other choice but to resort back to them in a flare, or maybe not a flare, but just a bad day! Lately waking in the… read more

Pebbles..I took
OTC meds as
long as I could, and still
on occasion.
My Dr. has now started me on Savella.
Just started on it Fri., we'll
see. I've just
started CBD oil, for the first
time. Another
wait and see.
My Dr. did tell
me to keep
Tramadol on
hand for flares
I take it when
pain is very bad. It takes
the edge off a
little. I've never
used many pre
scribed pain
meds. I have
several pain
causing ailments. I think I also pushed through pain a lot of times, but, not since
my conditions
have gotten
worse. Hope
you have a pain free, restful night.

I read your story...you mentioned you have other autoimmune diseases. Could they be contributing to the pain? Under the care of Rheumotologist I suppose. I take cbd and tinctures of passionflower and lemon balm, when I awake middle of the night 2x. Before bed, I take Tylenol and magnesium which makes me sleepy, and also singular for asthma allergy. Plus one or two muscle relaxers. I first get into bed with microwave heat pads, after putting Arnicare cream on, as well as a cbd cream on knees, and Emu oil for arthritis on other areas. Magnesium gel on calves for cramping. It’s sounds like a process doesn’t it.Lol! But it worked for me. 🤗🤗🤗

Has anyone tried @ weighed blanket. My kids got me one for Christmas and it really helps me through the night with my leg and arm issues. I do stretches before I get out of bed in the morning. My pain never goes away completely but I have to live with it. I also do pressure point therapy.

Cbd oil is supposed to be good and effective for pain fatigue ect I'm thinking of trying it myself as my doctor says I have tried all the strong meds she knows of having bad side effects on me so I'm not taking anything at present! I had a referral from my rheumotolist to go to a pain management clinic but unfortunately with being at a hospital and the pandemic my first appt which I'd been waiting from late last year for was cancelled so goodness knows now when I will get sent another appt! I'm getting very desperate and despondent now so was thinking of trying cbd oil.
