IBS seems to cause problems with my lady parts. I have constant UTSs or even just feeling like I have a UTI.

Members confirmed a strong connection between fibromyalgia, IBS, and gynecological issues, with many sharing experiences of chronic UTIs, interstitial cystitis (IC), endometriosis, and premature menopause alongside their fibro diagnosis. Several members offered practical management strategies, including Miralax or Linzess for IBS-related constipation, Elmiron or Cystoprotek for IC symptoms, coconut oil for urethral irritation, and L-glutamine or vitamin E oil for flare-ups. A recurring theme was the importance of seeing specialists like urologists who focus on women's health, as IC often mimics UTI symptoms but requires different treatment.

Emmaben, I have chronic constipation with severe abd pain also have frequent UTIs, I have used laxatixes for the constipation when it gets severe which then gives me diarrhea. LOL I have recently found that coconut oil on my uretha and lady parts, are helping me with the UTI and chafing. This rememdy was given to me ny a young woman that I am proud to call my daughter. You might try this oil if it doesn't work you can always cook with it. Gentle hugs. Faye

In addition to having fibro, I was diagnosed with IBS and interstitial cystitis (IC), which I understand frequently occurs with fibro... for me, it felt like I was having a UTI, but I wasn't... It was just irritation in my bladder and muscle tightness in that area in general. I was able to see a urologist who specialized in women's issues and she helped me manage my symptoms a lot. If you think this could be you, I'd see a urologist and ask about IC.

I have always had a lot of UTI's. I have had fibro since I was 21. I had endometriosis until I had a hysterectomy at 35. I do believe fibro goes along with a lot of other issues. Especially gyno problems.
