I’m not a doctor but swelling of digits that they call sausage finger is a classic symptom of psoriatic arthritis. I knew a woman who suffered from this type of pain was told for years her symptoms were “in her head.” She started to have the swelling digits and was finally diagnosed by a rheumatologist with psoriatic arthritis.
