I know many people with Fibro wake up with morning stiffness and pain, but does anyone else seem to wake up almost pain free, but it gets worse as day goes on?

Members shared varied experiences in response to someone asking whether fibromyalgia pain worsens throughout the day rather than being worst in the morning, with many confirming they also wake up relatively pain-free but experience increasing pain and fatigue as the day progresses, often peaking around midday or evening. Several members mentioned that moving and pacing themselves helps manage symptoms, while others discussed medications like clonazepam, pregabalin, and tramadol, with mixed results and some noting that pregabalin actually intensified their pain. A recurring theme was the toll of fatigue on pain perception, with members describing how exhaustion compounds discomfort and stiffness, and the importance of continuing to move even when tired to prevent further stiffening.

I wake up in a lot of pain, but it subsides some during the day. But by the end of the day sometimes I hurt more than when I got up. By bedtime I can hardly walk.

I wake up in a ton of pain and it usually takes me 2 to 3 hours to physically be able to get out of bed, then after a few hours I'm okish..and then I start to worsen again as the day goes on.
