Feels like the nerve endings have an issue.

It is never in the same spot when it goes away and happens again.

Members connected over the frustrating experience of a sore tongue that feels like razor blade cuts and moves to different spots, with many describing the sharp, nerve-like pain that comes and goes unpredictably. Several members shared potential triggers and explanations, including vitamin B12 deficiency (supported by a medical article link), fibromyalgia causing hypersensitive nerves, dry mouth from SICCA syndrome or Sjögren's, and irritation from specific foods like grapes, honeycomb, pineapple, or dry toast. A recurring theme was the importance of staying hydrated, identifying personal food triggers, and considering underlying conditions like vitamin deficiencies or autoimmune disorders if the problem persists.

I have had this off and on. Feels like little razor blade cut! I am not sure, but I have noticed that when I eat a lot of grapes this happens. Can that be? Hmmmm...

yes Fibro makes all your nerves hypersensative & painful, some more than others. I have found if you can find the culprit & deal with that stimulus, also always drink water with meals. e.g. dry toast, pineapple, hard nuts, honeycomb-
It usually comes from the irritation by something in your mouth. Drink water at night. I have SICCA syndrome, ( I'm sicker than you lol !) It means dry mouth, throat, nose, sinuses & even vagina- is nothing sacred ?? It can be standalone or part of Sjogrens - auto-immune Disease. If you wake in front of TV with v dry mouth get tested for sleep apnoea & SICCA. All the best.
