Members responded with compassion to someone frightened by low white blood cell and neutrophil counts, with several sharing their own experiences of chronically low levels that fluctuate naturally without necessarily indicating serious illness. Many community members emphasized practical dietary changes as a potential solution, recommending high-quality multivitamins, eating protein with every meal to stabilize blood sugar, incorporating nuts as nutrient powerhouses, and addressing underlying IBS issues that may prevent proper nutrient absorption. A recurring theme was the importance of self-advocacy and taking control of one's health through nutrition rather than waiting anxiously for doctors to provide all the answers, with one member crediting improved eating habits for bringing their neutrophil levels back to normal range.

Rather like a car needs petrol the body also needs fuel.
Do you take supplements?
A high quality multivitamin and certainly with a good wack of B vitamins.
If you can’t eat properly then you need to do something!
B vitamins can help anxiety and usually I would recommend Magnesium but with your IBS it may make the bowel relax and cause a laxative effect
B6 and magnesium work together but dark green leafy vegetables and salads have magnesium
Vitamin A and Beta Carotene for hair skin and nails needs Zinc
Iron needs Vitamin C
Calcium needs Magnesium
This is why a multi vitamin is better because they are balanced

Whenever I shop, prepare a meal or eat I ask myself what this food is doing for me.
I think just getting interested in the value of food would be a good idea
Google your questions regarding nutrients, vitamins and minerals and go shopping
Fruit and vegetables/salad should be red, yellow, green orange and blue every day.... EVERY DAY!!!!
You need protein and carbs roughly 25% each and 50% fruit and veg on your plate. Dont be afraid of fat, you need it to absorb fat soluble vitamins. Olive oil avocados NUTS!!! Nuts are powerhouses of nutrition
Vitamin B and C are water soluble, you need them daily

Mine are 3874 and the range in my bloodwork is 6000-26000 with a white blood count of 6.1 with a range of 9.0-30 so I don’t know what to make of any of that

Hello, I have actually had both that were low. I am there with you. I get CBC done all the time and I absolutely panic when something is askew.
I believe mine was due to low Vitamin C and Zinc. I started taking more vitamin C and the next bloodwork it was within normal ranges. I would not be concerned unless it's constant. Remember somethings bloodwork can be off by the way it's handled.

You need to eat protein with every meal to stabilise blood glucose
eg. Eat an apple with cheese, nuts or nut butter
Toast with an egg not marmalade
Pasta with meat or cheese not just vegetables
Pear with Roquefort 😋

I am eating breakfast atm
Overnight oats, carbs, slow release with some protein in them. Kefir (or yoghurt) protein, raspberries and a small apple, also carbs but slow release and fibre, half a dozen almonds or other nuts, protein.
Layer or mix , cover and leave overnight
