Hi everyone.
I hope you're all doing well. This is a bit more of an emotional/psychological question regarding fibromyalgia. I have developed an intense disrespect and distrust of the medical community and doctors, based on the way I've been treated while trying to figure this out. Like many of you, I've been to more than a few doctors as my symptoms peaked, and peaked quickly, about two years ago. I was scared and often anxious and panicky, which landed me in the ER a lot as I had just moved… read more
This is exactly what I’m going through and my feelings. The fear has given me ptsd and panic disorder. I have acted the same as you and don’t apologize. Fibro mimicked so many things that are potentially a lot worse and I think that’s why it’s so easy to be so fearful.
Do some research on your diet...liquids, meats, look up cooking spices, cooking oils and vitamins that help inflamation. Put all your research on note cards until you can do it by memory. A year ago I could barely walk. After changing my diet and adding those I mentioned I am on no pain meds. My Dr. Praised me for it. I now have very little pain. I hope you
Find a good psychologist you are comfortable with and see them regularly. Talking about it is a great healer.
Someone once said to me 'It is up to you to carry the burden of an offense'.
I have thought long and hard about that saying and it is true, the person who offended us doesn't feel anything about what they said, either because they didn't think about what they said or because they didn't care what they said. Either way, they are oblivious to how you feel. I have learnt it only affects me and I don't like it so I let it go and leave the rest to karma.
Some doctors should not be doctors just like some nurses should not be nurses. At the end of the day we know what we are feeling and that is all that matters.
I hope and pray you find a doctor who will listen and understand. they are out there.
Sending hugs inny

If you are ever unsure of anything, just jump on here and ask a question. Someone will be able to help you out.
Stress + Fibro = Flare
Some people/things aren't worth wasting your energy on. Save that time and treat yourself instead.
Gentle hugs Heather
