Have You Heard?! Its A Start!

Trial Evaluating BCG Vaccine for Fibromyalgia Given Green Light by FDA. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has given approval for a human clinical trial of the bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine as a potential treatment for fibromyalgia.

And they’re starting the trails and looking for participants. Here’s link

Sure they will do the trial test free - I used to work on developing cancer genetic tests so data is more valuable than money. BCG has been around for a hundred years or so for TB, and we used it a bit in bladder cancer.
The test looks like it identifies white BC proteins, which they feel is part of fibro for many. BCG is helpful to the immune system, will be trial and error. And not all Fibro is the same but a good step.
I am not a candidate as I take Immuno meds for my Organ Transplant - which by no mistake is the source of my chronic nerve pain.
Too much Immuno and Shingles, then chronic. Nice to know the source but doesn't help much lol.
I didn't research the methodolgy of their test, etc. but seems to have high sensitivity - just a matter of, if the results mean anything.
Best of luck.

I went to the link you provided and surprise to see that there is a FM blood test now! That’s even better! I am tired of hearing from doctors that its all in our heads. (My Neurologist said that just 3 months ago 😞)So if this blood test determines we have FM, I think it will help many of us who are still unsure if its really FM or something else. Thank you! I will bring this up to my doctor 😊

Yes. Trials may have been in infancy in 2018. I read similar in Sept 2019. Perhaps they’re expanding their trials nationwide.

The current post claims may be a cure for Fibro, but I don’t know more beyond what is written.

It would be interesting to read what the success rate has been so far- since trials began a year or two ago. And what symptoms are most alleviated. Would be awesome if it was a full cure of course.

They say they are testing it as a treatment for FM definitely not a cure

Will the vaccine help if you already have fibro?
