I’ve smoked and vaped marijuana but it really hurts my lungs and make my shortness of breath (lovely fibro symptom 🙁) twice as bad. Edibles take up to 2 hours to work so you really have to experiment with it, and all edibles are different. I would like to try Cannabis tinctures, but I don’t know if they sell them at dispensary’s. If I can find one that doesn’t make me paranoid or put me to sleep, I would like to try it for my anxiety.

Members shared extensive experiences with cannabis tinctures for fibromyalgia pain and anxiety, with many noting that tinctures work faster than edibles (which can take up to two hours) and are gentler on the lungs than smoking or vaping. Several members recommended starting with low THC ratios (such as 18:1 or 8:1 CBD to THC) to avoid paranoia and sleepiness, emphasized the importance of purchasing true CBD from dispensaries rather than hemp oil products sold online, and highlighted that sativa strains tend to provide energy while indica strains cause drowsiness. A recurring theme was the life-changing relief many found through medical marijuana when traditional pain medications failed, the need to research strains carefully and communicate openly with dispensary staff, and advocacy for legalization in places where access remains limited.

Are you guys aware that a lot of the things branded as cbd oil are, in fact, hemp oil? There is a huge difference on how it helps. I used to order(what I thought was) cbd oil online and after further investigation realized that you can only obtain it from a dispensary. Its illegal federally as much as medical marijuana is ilegal. Hemp oil has never done anything for me at all!! Cbd has!! Research everything before you try anything... I honestly thought I was using cbd oil for a while. :/

Btw: I had never used cannibus or any drugs, for that matter, in my life before being eligible for my mm card. It has been life changing for me! I was barely able to get out of bed before...
its not for everyone but it was good for me. I would advocate for it helping a lot of people if it were not for the stigma of it being a drug. I feel the effects of it less than a pain pill and I am allergic to tramadol and codiene.

Medical marijuana is just coming in, my son, Jai is 43 now, was 24 when he had his accident. Also his wife Bex has been diagnosed with MS so both are in need of it! But NZ is having a referendum on legalising marijuana, unfortunately there are people out there that think it’s a terrible thing, so I just hope people understand that it is a herb that will help so many people! Funny,as I am already starting to say to people you must vote yes!

lots of legal CBD products are made from HEMP which does nothing for most people honestly ,, maybe a little calming but not much help with pain/neuropathy CBD derived from actual marijuana can be most helpful. Also want to note a 1/1 ratio is quite high ,, this means for every miligram of CBD you take you get a miligram of THC,,, >3 mg of THC is enough to send me into anxiety panic mode,, i need to keep my THC below 2mg,, and if I accidentally get to much i must take some xanex to counter balance ,, then i just fall asleep,, but that has only happened twice and because i was trying out edibles which can take hours to hit you and you can easily over do without knowing it,,, good luck all
