I have started feeling soreness, tenderness and pain where I have been sleeping on a crease in my clothes. I have woken up to this new irritation from the pain! This is a new one for me. A crease in your clothes hurting you! Who would have ever thought that such a thing would even be a thing!?

Members connected over the surprisingly painful experience of clothing creases, seams, and fabric textures irritating their skin, with many describing tenderness from wrinkled sheets, discomfort from clothing labels, and red marks left by waistbands or cuffs. Several members shared their coping strategies, including wearing oversized underwear and loose-fitting clothing, smoothing out bedsheets in the middle of the night, cutting out tags, and carefully selecting only soft fabrics that won't aggravate their sensitive skin. A recurring theme was the relief of discovering they weren't alone in this oddly specific struggle, with one member joking about feeling like the Princess and the Pea and others expressing gratitude for finally being able to talk openly about a symptom they feared would sound absurd to others.

Yes! I joke that Im the Princess from Princess and the Pea lol. I have underwear that is 3 sizes too big because the bands touching my skin makes me feel sore. Same with my bras.

I have it too when I'm getting dressed, the seam on a top irritates the back of my neck and cuffs on shirts or jumpers can leave a red mark around my wrists. I feel so scruffy at work but the only comfy clothing that doesn't hurt are loose fitting jumpers and pull on trousers.

Yes. I can only wear soft clothing. I have to feel everything and check everything as my skin is super sensitive and it only gets worse the older I get.
