Does Anyone Get Hiccups Frequently?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I get hiccups all the time but they last for like a minute and then go away on their own. They happen randomly when im not eating or drinking anything. As suddenly as they come they stop just as suddenly too.

Yep, I get them too but I found THE best way to get rid of hiccups. Do yoga breathing. Breath in slowly for the count of 5 then out slowly for the count of 5 and repeat until the hiccups are gone. I think it forces the nerves in the diaphragm to reset itself into the rhythm you're using.

Yes I do, it’s from my reflux.

I can relate!!!! Its so frustrating. I have to change my little techniques all the time to get them to go away.

I don't get them too often anymore. It was from reflux and slow digestion. That's why it happens even when you are not eating or drinking. I like the breathing technique described above, I used to do deep slow breathes and it is very helpful.
