Does Anyone Experience Rectal And Buttock Pain?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have rectal pain, burning, pressure and pain radiating down my left buttock and thigh. I also experience pressure in my vaginal/pelvic area. I have been to a Nurse Practitioner, Doctor and the ER. Both Rectal and Vaginal exams appear "normal" but pain is still there! I am waiting to see a gynecologist. Any thoughts?

Is it muscle or nerve pain you’re experiencing. I use a 325/650 Tylenol suppository when my rectal pain (nerve) flares up, and use a foam roller when my buttock/thigh is in pain (muscle). Sorry, can’t help with Vaginal pain!

I itch absolutely everywhere and I mean everywhere. The only relief I get periodically is Dexamethazone and that’s a big steroid that calms the invisible inflammation, I do not have any obvious signs as to why I itch, so the Dexamethazone works for me as it is a major anti-inflammatory drug. I discovered that it helps when taking it for my lung diseases.
Xoxo 😘

I would see a gastroenterologist for the rectal pain. That's their specialty. Definitely a gyno for the other pain. Let each specialist know it's urgent when you ring up for an appointment

Depending on the wait time, I would go to the hospital. That's not normal pain you are experiencing and should be looked at asap.
