hey guys,
im trying to understand what fibro fog is.
could you please elaborate on your most scary fibro fog episode?
thanks in advance :D
Oh my gosh I almost can't believe I'm reading these posts about driving! The exact same thing happened to me going to a familiar place that literally is a straight shot from my home! I got lost! I was disoriented and confused and my surroundings seemed so foreign... Nothing seemed to make sense and I KNEW that I should know where I was and how to get there, but I just couldn't! I thought I was going crazy or something and cried and cried! My doctor just shrugged it off and looked at me like I was being dramatic. So, onward I went, feeling alone and wondering what in the hell had happened. I still drive... But I'll not ever forget that day, and I'm grateful for you all sharing yoir stories! I'm not going crazy after all!
Lildeb, I have had times when driving where I “blanked out”. I would be driving from point A to point C in a familiar area. Then when point B comes along, I don’t “see” it. It’s like the area becomes unfamiliar, and I wonder where I am.. really scares me. Is this similar to what you experienced?
@A MyFibroTeam Member literally had this happen this morning. Made the turn, then all of a sudden all the buildings looked unfamiliar and I didn’t know where I was. Kept driving down the road and hit the intersection and everything looked familiar again. I panicked a little inside. Pretty scary. And not the first time this has happened recently.
chblackm.. that exactly what happens. I got so confused just going a couple blocks to a store that I’ve gone to for 15 years. That was was the first time. Both times I pulled over and cried, I was frustrated but scared. I just couldn’t take a chance of it happening again after the second time. I just don’t know when it will come on. Too scarey for me. There’s no gradual warning of it.
I have had that,
A few weeks ago, i was driving and suddenly i didnt know
where i was, it was kinda scary
