Hi,

Does anyone struggle with their vision? My eye test is fine but I get days when I feel like I can barely see properly, everything is distant, blurry and there is a glare.

Members connected over the frustrating experience of vision problems that do not show up on standard eye exams, with many describing blurriness, glare, difficulty focusing, and trouble reading despite being told their eyes are healthy. Several members shared that their vision issues worsen during fibromyalgia flares, and some identified medications like Lyrica as possible contributors, while others mentioned cataracts, ocular migraines, eye strain, double vision, and sensitivity to dim lighting or night driving. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of losing beloved activities like reading and sewing, the challenge of constantly changing prescriptions, and the odd sensation of a film over the eyes that no test can explain.

I have double vision and burning in my eyes. That's the same pain I have in my body from fibro. The doctor said it's fibro pain in my eyes, reading to long causes eye strain and pain. Thanks fibro xo

I have worn glasses since I was six, until I had cataract surgery 2 years ago. So poor vision is nothing new. But I also occasionally have trouble with my eyes being not quite in synch.

Yes. I sort of expected something to show up on my last eye exam. Nothing ! Eyes healthy. Dim lighting and shadows are not kind to me. I love to read and now experience flashes of light, swimming and jumping words and phantom flashes of images on the page. So hard to read for any length of time.
My reading prescription got stronger and my distance eased off. I just got my distance glasses renewed in December! Recent eye exam in July.
I can't keep up. As I'm on social assistance and they cover most of cost , I had to choose my reading glasses as my distance is ok. I can get by . And I walk around mostly without my glasses anyway now.
The change in vision is so frustrating. Another odd thing is this odd feeling in my eyes. Feels like a film of something is over it.
