I been rescuing birds since 1998 and they are a blessing to me the ones that I have kept. It does help that I have family that can help me if I need them. They are as @A MyFibroTeam Member said a blessing and they help me distract myself from the pain or the frustration of being sick.
I have a dog and a cat. They are both great company and would be lost without them. My dog knows when I'm not feeling great.
I find having a cat really joyful, I think animals can be very therapeutic, however I would maybe think about which breed as you might not feel like going for a long walk if you are having a bad day. X
We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. They are such a blessing!
Great idea. But be careful which breed you go for. Big dogs like labs, retrievers etc need lots of exercise and stimulation. Smaller breeds are great, just be aware of extra grooming with double coated breeds. Short haired dog may be better. Dogs are great company if you are lonely and keep you going.
