Pain After BM
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

New to all this. I’ve been getting my symptoms for years! And have had so many different tests and seen so many different doctors! My GP finally said to me last month that she thinks it’s Fibro. Which totally makes sense!! But one of my biggest and most crippling symptoms is the pain i get after having a BM, I ache terribly after! The pain radiates all over my stomach, pelvis and down my legs. Does anyone else get this? No medical professional, literally no one can tell me why this happens. So… read more

Sounds like you should see your Doctor and ask for an MRI scan also get your Doctor to get your Spinal Fluid checked for MS as well.

Just to be on the Safe side normally your Rheumatologist would test you for all these things, as well as Fibromyalgia.

Hi, i can tell you what i found out about myself. I have lower back issues, bulging discs, sciatica. So after i use the restroom, the pain is so bad in my back. and both my legs & feet go completely numb. I can barely walk. I was told it was from the way we sit on the commode. I know its embarrassing, but I hope this helps in some way. God bless.

You need to ask your Doctor for a Referral to see a Rheumatologist he or she can properly diagnose You with Fibromyalgia.

You might also need to see another Specialist regarding other problems.

Hopefully your Doctor is giving you adequate Pain medication to treat your Fibromyalgia.

Unfortunately Fibromyalgia has over 251 Symptoms that we can all have. Here is a checklist you can see if those symptoms are on the list.

Yes. I often have to lie down after because I feel exhausted when I come off the loo. Mine is due to Diverticulitis and spastic bowel. When it's really bad I am on the point of collapse.

I agree with Lindaann. It sounds like it could be nerve pain that shoots down your leg from sitting? If so, maybe you could try seeing a Physical therapist to help you strengthen the muscles down there and work out some of the nerve pain? Probably a lot of things it could be but don’t be embarrassed! That’s real and sound super painful. I pray you can find the right doc who can help.
