I’ve noticed a big weight gain within 2 years that I’ve been taking Savella. Granted that I haven’t been actively going to the gym lately because of pains after workouts, none of my clothes fit and I’ve been buying clothes 2-4 sizes up within a year.
The initial medication I was on for fibro had me gain ALOT of weight and didn't help that much. My dr changed my medication and the weight melted off (seriously--so fast it scared me--40 lbs in a month).
Many meds can pack on the pounds unfortunately. Fibro hurts and thoughts of any form of exercise for many is out of the question due to pain.
I know I gained weight and bloated very fast on my med which I'm now off of.
Both weight and pain decressed as soon at I went off it.
It's a darned if you do take meds and perhaps darned if you don't.

I was on Mertazapine (Remeron) . Really helped with sleep , but the side effects were not worth it. Also mood changes as a nasty side effect and a legacy and they did not go away after stopping.
@A MyFibroTeam Member, what medication were on that melted off your weight gain?
what medication were you on when you gained the weight and what did he switch you to that you lost it all?
