Yes, I have myofacial pain syndrome and twitching and spasms are my life. Sometimes it gets bad. I was on line in the supermarket putting a medium sized can of green beans on the counter when for reasons I'll never understand, my right hand cwitched, the can went flying behind the head of the lady in front of me. I was mortified, the lady at the register was horrified, and the lady I almost clobbered was oblivious. I quickly retrieved the can, paid, and crept out of the place as fast as my little legs could take me. I could have hurt the poor woman and very seriously. It was a heavy can. I twitch all the time, especially when I'm trying to relax my body. The twitching gets very bad and I have to wait out the spaz attack which is why I guess I'm wasting a lot of energy trying to control the twitching. When I was going into hypnosis for deep relaxation on the couch at my therapist's office I flopped around like a beached flounder. I learned to wait it out and not try to stop the movement. It does go away as you continue to relax but it took some patience, not my best attribute. :-D

Yes, I have had twitching (not painful spasms but tiny twitches) for hours every day, mostly in my feet and calves. Plus I get slightly "larger" twitches randomly but very briefly (just a passing moment) in other parts of my body, including thighs and shoulders. And then I also get a third type of twitch that causes my foot to actually move for a second, but this is very infrequent.

This has been going on for two months and I am trying not to be overwhelmed with anxiety about it. I don't want to go to the doctor about it -- I need a break from the endless appointments and frankly if it's something horrible I'd rather delay finding out. However, I've read about people with Fibro having twitches as well.

Incidentally, I haven't been diagnosed. I have had a lot of pain for about two years which started with a facial neuralgia and now includes occasional sharp "pins" in my feet and random other places, migrating muscle pains (but always consistent in the front of my thighs; the other spots tend to not be consistent for very long), plus something like joint pains (like a bursitis feeling?), periods of fatigue, a lot of brain fog.

What kind of twitching do you have, and is it consistent in certain spots?

I hope you have a good day.

Yes, I have them, and I’m going to a neurologist for possible MS or Parkinson’s.
