Members shared deeply personal strategies for pushing through exhaustion and pain to keep moving, with many emphasizing that staying active is essential to preserving mobility and preventing worsening symptoms. Several members described practical motivators including having a pet that needs care, working because bills must be paid, taking hot baths or massages before activity, and reminding themselves that even five minutes of movement can ease both physical and mental discomfort. A recurring theme was the mental battle of forcing yourself to move when your body screams otherwise, with members finding strength in faith, future goals, necessity, and the understanding that sometimes you have to let your mind drive the bus even when pain tries to take the wheel.

Because if I dont keep moving, nobody else will go to my job, do my work and pay my bills for me! Also you have to be mobile if you want to stay mobile!

Remind yourself that doing something--anything --may take your mind off the pain. (only five minutes lol) Once your moving the exhaustion can ease as well and you find yourself going longer than those 5 minutes. It really is a mind over matter experience

I pray and let God know how bad our traditional medical system is since they do not use the bioscan. I tell God doctors are so dumb for not using it and to please knock some sense into them. This praying may elevate epinephrine and helps me get up. Plus I started a business called JR Pain Management and if you have something to do or a way to possibly change the world, You will get up!

I have a Yorkshire terrier that’s needs to go out so that gives me a push to move. When my last dog died I had two years where I just felt sorry for myself and would just sit there as long as possible so I had to get another dog just to motivate me in a morning.

I take a hot bath. I get massages and then I just ignore. Often it feels less sever if I’m focused on something else.
