Members connected over a question about symptoms that included strange smells, numbness, fatigue, stomach cramps, blurry vision, flu-like symptoms, and body pain, which many recognized as potential fibromyalgia manifestations or a bug exacerbating existing fibro symptoms. Several members strongly encouraged seeing a doctor to rule out the flu or other infections, especially given recent flu epidemics, and suggested antibiotics might be needed if it's bacterial. A recurring theme was the way fibromyalgia can mimic or worsen flu symptoms, with members sharing their own experiences of feeling consistently flu-like, enduring downward spirals that leave them bedridden, and struggling with temperature control, chronic fatigue, and widespread pain.

Always best to go and see your Doctor and get checked out especially with such a deadly flu epidemic that has been going around. If everything is ruled out then you can put the symptoms down to Fibromyalgia.

Hopefully you don't have the flu these symptoms can add to those you already have from Fibromyalgia.

Many of those Symptoms that you have discribed are those of Fibromyalgia because it can affect your sense of smell, chronic fatigue, aches and pains in your legs and in other parts of your body. Body Temperature Control out of wack.

I hope you'll soon be out of those symptoms. Sounds like you have caught a bug which exaggerates all the fibro aches and pains! God bless you with healing ❣️

I certainly agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member about going to your doc to be sure!!
It does also sound like a bad pain spell where the Fibro just makes you spin down and down. Hopefully if that's the case this will be the breaking point or it's only a few days out from breaking. I myself just had a downward spiral something similar to this and was bedridden 2 days straight and have been using my rollator all week.
Wish you the best! Hope your GP can help if it is a cold/flu/etc. If it is a Fibro spell I hope it let's up quickly!!! ❀️
