Hello all,

I have a deficiency in Vitamin D like a lot of us on here I guess. Whenever I take a supplement I get bad nausea, I’ve tried spray and tablet form. Anyone get this and know a way around it?

Thank you.

Members responded to someone experiencing nausea from vitamin D supplements by sharing a variety of strategies that have worked for them, including taking the supplement with food, trying different forms like gel capsules or prescription versions, and spreading out supplements throughout the day. Several members suggested practical remedies for the nausea itself, such as ginger, saltine crackers, anti-nausea medications like ondansetron, or taking vitamin K alongside vitamin D. A recurring theme was that sensitivity to fillers, coatings, or sources in supplements varies by person, so it may take trial and error to find the right brand or form that works without causing discomfort.

make sure you read the bottle to see what it says... take wit food, take before meal or on empty stomach and go from there. most things take with some carbs like bread etc

In order to take Vitamin D vitamins, you must take Vitamin K at the same time. This is information that my doctor told me about and he said most people do not know this. Also vitamins bought in stores really are not that effective. The best vitamins are expensive but should be bought from a really good company.

I take vitamin D3 with no side effects. Saltine crackers are usually good. Some people need to take pills with food to help fend off adverse effects. Have you tried taking it with food? Best wishes for you.

I use to get nausea and even vomiting with supplements. I just make sure now to spread them out, as I take several and take them after I’ve eaten a little something. With a little research you may find some that are gentler on the stomach. Best wishes.

I take prescription vitamin D and I've had no bad reaction. Are you taking over the counter D? If you are maybe your doctor can prescribe you the prescription vitamin D. I wish you well and I'm sending gentle hugs!
