I am overthinking things. But does anyone know if coffee or caffiene makes the fibro worse? I am an avid coffee drinker and I am just wondering if I am hurting myself with this.

Members shared mixed perspectives on whether coffee and caffeine worsen fibromyalgia symptoms, with some noting that caffeine can increase inflammation, trigger jitteriness or poor sleep, and exacerbate anxiety, while others found it energizing and not problematic for them personally. Several members emphasized the importance of tracking individual responses, as sensitivity varies widely, and suggested slowly reducing caffeine intake rather than quitting abruptly to avoid withdrawal symptoms. A recurring theme was the value of dietary changes overall, with multiple members crediting anti-inflammatory spices like turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon for reducing their pain and encouraging others to research which foods may be increasing inflammation in their own bodies.

If you have anxiety i would suggest limiting and trying to remove caffeine intake as much as possible. It can also falsely boost enegry levels and cause you to feel a little crash later on. Dehydrate you as well. Just be mindful. Caffeine is almost negative fluid. So if you had one cup of coffee make sure you have two more cups of water etc. Chocolate and green and black teas are high in caffeine as well as soft drinks.

Track how much you have daily. You maybe sensitive to it.

Yes coffee (caffeine) increases inflamation ... Make a list of all the major foods you eat....Google each one for inflamation....you will find that the foods you eat is the problem. I am virtually pain free since I changed my diet. Spices like Tumeric...Cumin... Marjoram... Cayeen pepper...Cinnamon... Ginger...Anise seed...All can be purchased at Walmart or grocery store. I could barely walk before I made this change....Hugs to you✴️
