Yes! I know everyone is different but here are a few tricks that have helped me a TON: My physical therapist does massage work on my calves. He says the feet burning is actually a circulation problem in my calves. Something gets restricted there and the lack of circulation to my feet causes the burning. With a good massage and calf stretches the burning usually goes away. For more immediate relief some baking soda paste can help. I also wear socks to bed every night (which is counter-intuitive when your feet burn) but that helps me a lot too. And as always, I get a lot of people praying for me.
I hope that you find relief soon! So sorry you’re going through that. It’s up there in some of the most aggravating pain, for sure.
I have been diagnosed with non-diabetic neuropathy because of the pain (burning on the soles, numbness and tingling throughout the area ankle socks would cover) in my feet. This has been going on about four years now, and my doctors have not found an effective solution. Gabapentin was useless, Lyrica was helpful but the side effects were intolerable, and the recommended therapeutic dose of Cymbalta left me a sleepy zombie. I currently am on a half dose of Cymbalta, still suffering but at least awake and coherent. I know my neurologist has some other meds in mind to try, so we’ll see. Very frustrating. I do not know if this neuropathy (which is much more common in diabetic patients due to nerve damage) has any connection to my fibromyalgia. Please see a neurologist about your issue, perhaps some testing needs to be done to rule out a serious condition.
Actually, the Lyrica does help without it I'm miserable. I don't like taking meds though but sometimes it's hard to do without. (Not because of addiction but because of the pain).
Great info, I thought I’ve been fighting athletes feet all these years 😂
I do use lotion on my feet and that seems to help a lot with the itching.
I really appreciate your input. I am sorry to hear that you have been suffering with it for quite a while
