Fibromyalgia /PIP/ Disability Classification UK
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, Technically this is 2 questions but they are interlinked so I thought I'd ask them together x

I am already on P.I.P because of my Disc Degeneration, but now I've been diagnosed with FM as well, should I try to get my award updated or leave it till my review next year. (I don't want to end up losing what I already have)

Part 2 Has FM been classified yet in the UK as a long term disability? I know it has in America and Northern Ireland but not sure about here.

Thanks for your advice x

Lyrica Questions
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I started Lyrica May 27th. I experienced dizziness that went away by the end of the week end. I am now experiencing swelling in my feet and hands. I have had worse during my monthly cyle, but it does hurt. Has anyone had the swelling issue resolve after they have been on Lyrica awhile? How long did it take for Lyrica to start working for you? I think I'm being impatient, as I have only been on it 9 days. Thank you!

How Do You Describe It
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

This is my recent discovery on how my pain feels. My muscles are like pulled musclea, and muscle weakness. When i do things my muscles feel weak and stiff. There is very very little joint pain , sometimes my back and neck hurt but cant tell if it is muscle or bone. I feel that my muscles are tired and weak.

Do You Believe That God Has A Purpose For Your Life, And Has It Changed Since Fibromyalgia Or Other Chronic Pain?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I believe that our purpose in life is to glorify God. I also believe He has a specific plan for each life. For some people, this may be a ministry, a talent, a skill, or an interest. How has your special plan changed since fibromyalgia or other chronic pain, and all the associated diseases or conditions, became your realty?

Does Anyone Else Feel That Their Fibro Symptoms Have Gotten Progressively Worse Over The Years?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi fellow fibro warriors. Lately I've been feeling like my symptoms are worsening over the years. Pain is getting worse as is forgetfulness and anxiety. I'm afraid to drive or go anywhere by myself. Seems like I'm having less and less "good days" and sliding down fast. Not sure if this is a real thing or just my imagination.

Not your imagination at all. This disease more often than not continues to progress. Maybe we should all go after big pharma. They’re making way too much money to even look for cures, just like… read more
