I’m in the process of an official diagnosis. GP said I’m being referred to a rheumatologist. Then today had a call saying my GP is referring me for a bone scan. He didn’t say this on my last visit so I was confused and was wondering what this is for and if it is normal during diagnosis, if it is to eliminate other things maybe? The receptionist wasn’t able to explain very much obviously!
I had a bone scan because I was having a lot of pain in the bones in my legs. They were testing for Paget's disease of bone. From what I understand it can also be used to check for arthritis.
Oh yeah @A MyFibroTeam Member come to think of it about 2 year ago I had a bone density test to check for osteoporosis whilst having the depo injection, my memory is absolutely shocking 🙈
I've had bone scans that diagnosed my osteoporosis. He may be checking for that. It can affect your fibro as well as it's important to know about and get treated,,,
I think I have been dealing with this same stuff since March. Never really got a diagnosis. Massage has helped some but not alot. What helps y'all??
When I started to a Ruematologist,I had to have a Bone Scan done!!
It’s not painful at all!! They are looking for
Osteoporosis, and I have it!!
