A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have tried so many times to do more exercise
I have tried physical threapy with excellent threapist at least three times. I usually end up in tears with the increased pain. The latest CDC studies are backing off of the hard line on exercise. Especially for CFS. It is estimated that 70% of people with fibromyalgia also have CFS
Gentle stretching or yoga, and not everyday.
No aerobic exercise, just walking in a pool until you don’t have any backlash. Ever so slowly increase your time and… read more

Getting out of bed, having a shower, going to the shops this is my exercise I can’t expect anything else from my body.
I know we all have different degrees of fibromyalgia how it affects each person each day. Just because we have fibromyalgia doesn’t mean we are cut with the same cookie cutter!
I have been to pain clinic it’s not advisable to push through your pain, recovery time is much longer than expected. When you feel pain coming on rest your body till you feel you can go again Don’t Push through your Pain !!!
You are the only one that can judge what’s ok for you and your body don’t let anyone bully you into thinking anything different.
Hey you can’t detach your body from your head temporarily and attach a spare one it would be nice but not realistic!!!!
Most times I don’t listen to expert advice it doesn’t make sense and not practical.
Do what’s right for you !!

🌹Thank you! Finally the truth is put out there. So many have been suffering, trying to do exercises that only resulted in flareups and more guilt etc❣️

What works for me is lite stretch exercises and water aerobics only a couple days a week. But you have to start slow. Also as long as the weather is with you. For me any weather front, fog, clouds, rain and humidity will determine what kind of day I m gonna have. There is really no perfect day for us. Just some days are better then others. Hugs and Prayers
