I've had several bouts of strep throat this year. My doctor has referred me to have my tonsils removed, as he found them to be larger than they should be at my age (30). Each time I went down, I went down good. The pain I suffered was horrible and my body couldn't cope. I struggled to sleep and then my body gave up as I was exhausted and lost almost two days sleeping. I'm having a flare now and I can't stop sleeping. And yet again the pain is stronger than ever and my throat hurts but not progressed to strep that I've noticed. I'm in having my assessment for tonsils to be removed on the 22nd. Oh and NOTHING has helped the pain. I struggle through.

have the same problem too causing swallowing and discomfort finally got dr to give antibiotic sinuses effect me alot was on CYMBALTA it stopped working for me

Yep. I don't have tonsils but my neck lymph nodes are always enlarged.

I had this enlarged tonsil phenomenon. I have no clue what it was tbh but it lasted 5 days and to this day I don't know what it was. I waited for it to go away on its own but it definitely wasn't pleasant. I don't think I had the neck pain though.

From what I have noticed a virus feels worse for some people with Fibro
