Has anyone found exercise really help ? How long does it take before your body just allows you to exercise without the burning throbbing pain that makes me want to sit in ice . Also what have you found best ? I’ve gained weight since being on my meds and want to do something about it . I don’t want to be defeated by this which at the moment that’s how I feel .
Ive started exercising after losing a lot of weight. Started slowly almost a year ago and now im an exercise addict. There are days when i know i have to reign things in but I'll often push through the pain and go to class anyway. I now have some better days than others rather than constantly bad days but it really helps me mentally and physically. No idea why and would never tell anyone else with fibro to do the heavy classes im doing but it works for me
I walk. I don't do it every day. When I do, I try to make it a half hour. I haven't been to the walking track at the community center for 2 weeks because I've felt so bad but I will get back to it. It is supposed to be in the upper 70's on Tuesday so I will get out in the neighborhood and give it a go.
I am going to try yoga... And I have gained a lot of weight as well... But I enjoy walking and swimming in moderation I've found that it helps some what..
Good for you!
I’ve got a yoga app that’s good it does different sessions and they aren’t to long so you can fit it in to the daily routine. I’m thinking of going to a local gym and speaking to a personal trainer and see if they help as the doctor just says yoga or go for a walk .
