Parts Of Me Go Numb
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have had issues with my feet and hands going numb. It goes in cycles. At the moment its my right foot that goes numb without me doing anything noticeable. I, going by memory mind you, have thought this was due to fibro. I guess my question is what has work for the community here, if anything, that you can share with us. It is an odd as heck feeling and it is hard to explain except going numb. I have always passed this off as fibro but it doesn't make it any less frustrating.

Right now both my legs and feet are numb and tingling. Came home from work with them hurting Soo much I can hardly walk. No tremors but it has made me think what if Fibromyalgia isn't necessary the correct or only diagnosis, I too thought about MS or even Lupus which is what they first thought I had. In the end they only gave me a probably diagnosis.

My left leg went numb 17 years ago. My doctor and I decided it was ok because it was not painful. I believe it was the start of fibromyalgia. I have no reflexes in that leg. It’s hard to describe. It’s not all numb. Feels like it’s wrapped in batting. I have since had sharp pains in that leg. Shooting pains. Very painful. But no real solution.

@A MyFibroTeam Member with fibro it seems we have more than just one illness. I know with me I have IC, CFS, migraines and a few others. My foot going numb for days is new for me. I mean it goes numb and goes away but for it to happen so many days in a row is different for me. I use to think circulation but my GP checks that when I see her and she said that is not the issue. I use to say oh it's my fibro and panned it off as that. But I do wonder if we do that as a norm to pan things off as fibro without further ado. My neurologist, who had fibro, passed away last year and I am in the market for a new one. So I can't ask him what he thinks or if this has happened to him.

I hope it eases up for you.

@A MyFibroTeam Member oh man that sounds frustrating as heck. I have not had my arms go numb in a while but my hands will go numb and that is frustrating. I just wish we had an answer or ways to help it.

My right side of face and right arm go numb constantly. Ive had MRI, CT scan, and nuero tests. No one knows...guess its one of the many wonderful fibro symptoms.
