Straw34, yes, I have sciatica and a whole host of other issues. I have had many nerves burnt in my lower back too, along with my neck. I do take softeners daily due to the pain meds I am on. It's sometimes worse than other times. My docs have never mentioned sciatica as a possible reason for it, just looked at me dumbfounded when I told them the issue...like they had no clue why that would happen. Yes, I dread going to the bathroom but, I also dread going to bed because of the pain I wake up to. I have been using cbd oil/cream and that helps a lot. I just rub some on the area and it helps quickly. (Hugs)
@A MyFibroTeam Member I will keep ya posted. My surgical procedure is wednesday but my pain is getting worse as today is going on so I hope I make it until wednesday. Its always something. I also have moments to where my bladder will feel paralized I dont know if I said that or not but thats another issue xalled neurogenic bladder which have some of the same issues and can occur to MS patients or anyone thag has neuroligical or neuropathy or spinal cord injuries. Its always somethibg it seems for all of us.
@A MyFibroTeam Member ... could you have sciatica or some related condition that affects the nerves in that area? I've never experienced this but does it make you dread using the bathroom? Would a stool relaxer help?

Symptoms
Mittelschmerz pain usually lasts a few minutes to a few hours, but it may continue for as long as a day or two. Pain from mittelschmerz may be:
On one side of your lower abdomen
Dull and cramp-like
Sharp and sudden
Accompanied by mild vaginal bleeding or discharge
Rarely, severe
Mittelschmerz pain occurs on the side of the ovary that's releasing an egg (ovulating). The pain may switch sides every other month, or you may feel pain on the same side for several months.
Keep track of your menstrual cycle for several months and note when you feel lower abdominal pain. If it occurs midcycle and goes away without treatment, it's most likely mittelschmerz.
