Do any of you take a progesterone cream and has it helped with the fibro? I am 41, and I saw a hormone doctor, and apparently my hormone levels are dropping. Especially progesterone. He wants me to take a compounded hormone cream. Any experience out there?

I'm also doing HRT pellets . They have helped with my energy levels and not sweating so much.

Yes...I've used ...dr John Lee progesterone cream is the best one ...I've done a lot of research and it's available without rx...on line...also bee pollen is good...it is a natural hormone food.

I use Bioidentical hormones made from a compound pharmacy. I had to do a saliva test and the compounds are made for my special needs. I am a postmenopausal woman and I really think these compounds are helping me. I feel like myself again, so that's progress. It can be pricey a little. It does not help me with the RA pain but having my hormone levels where they need to be is huge.

I had a full hysterectomy and oopherectomy 12 years ago when I was in my 40s. My doctor said it was better to get over the menopause asap instead of going through hormone therapy etc. I was getting horrendous migraines for all but a few days of each month and once the gonads were removed poof, migraines were then manageable. But I would have to agree with my doctor - I've hear of so many women having issues with HRT no matter what form. Women start with HRT and they think it's great, but then it seems always after about 5 - 9 months that's when problems start happening.....I'm glad I never went on them tho. but if it helps, find out the risks and see if its beneficial for you.

Did you take just progesterone or a combination of hormones?
