Hello everyone. Lately I've been having vertigo type symptoms. I talked it over with my Pain management doctor but she told me to speak with my PCP. I have an appointment next Thursday.

Members shared deeply relatable experiences with vertigo symptoms, with many describing daily dizziness, spinning sensations when lying down or changing positions, and the need to move slowly to avoid triggering episodes. Several members found relief through medications like meclizine and motion sickness treatments, while practical strategies included lying down in a dark, quiet room, avoiding quick head movements, and one member beginning balance rehabilitation physical therapy to address underlying problems. A recurring theme was the unpredictable and frightening nature of vertigo, with members offering solidarity and encouragement to see a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment options.

My vertigo is a daily problem - sometimes I get nausea with the vertigo; most often the vertigo happens when I lay down or change positions when trying to settle into bed to go to sleep. I've actually woken up because I changed positions while sleeping and brought on the vertigo - UGH. I do use Antivert (Meclizine) at times as well as Zofran for the nausea if it gets too bad.

YES! Walking is a problem. I often walk like a drunk. I just found a Balance Rehabilitation Physical Therapist and went through some testing. I scored 4 out of a possible 30. She 'says' the therapy can help me improve. That it will take a long time and she can't tell me 'how much' I might improve. Medicare will take care of 10-12 sessions, so I'm going to give it a try. I've 'taken' this problem to multiple types of specialists and this is the first person that's been able to identify the 'problem areas' and has some idea of what to do about it. I'll share IF this makes a significant difference.

I have terrible vertigo. One thing that works is motion sickness medication.

I’ve had vertigo occasionally in the past, but lately its been bad. And i also had nausea and blurry vision. I went to my Dr recently and told him about it. He doesnt think its normal for fibro, so is sending me to a neurologist. We will see if anything new is discovered or its the same ole fibro.
